Challenge #105 Color challenge

Today's color scheme challenge at Scrap Whispers is to use the colors purple, blue and white. Another hard one for me, since I don't usually scrap these colors. Finally I came up with this layout of my dd Amanda chillin in New York City. Looking at the picture makes me feel like running back home to New York. When I think of the cold and snow I know I'm better off here in sunny Florida!

Scrap Whispers Weekly Challenges

Scrap Whispers is back hosting its weekly challenges! For this weeks challenge we were to use the colors green, pink and brown.

For my layout I used a photo of my nephew Andy and my niece Jenna getting ready to dye their Easter eggs!

Our Princess

Challenge #95 is to create a layout or card about a female in your life, your mom, best friend, daughter, sister, aunt, crafty friends, neighbour it's up to you. This layout is all about celebrating the women in your life.
I chose to do a layout of my sweet niece Jenna Marie, she is one special little girl. My mom, my sister and I call her Princess and her eyes just light up!




This week while working on my Friday challenge I wasn't quite happy how my layout turned out. I moved my embellishments around a few times but still wasn't quite content. After fiddling for days with this layout I finally took my camera and took a picture... while looking at my picture it quickly hit me that I should probably put some ruffles behind my flowers. I took out my crepe paper and got creative. Then I added some butterflies and now I can say "I'm really happy how this layout turned out"

Friday challenge

Another weekly challenge from Scrap Whispers. For this challenge we were to use 20 buttons on our layouts or card. Twenty buttons seemed like alot of buttons for me, so I decided to double them up on my layout. I must say I'm really happy how this layout turned out!

I can't believe its Friday again....

Another friday challenge at Scrap Whispers! For this challenge we were to create a layout using portrait photos. My layout is of my sweet niece Jenna while vacationing in my neck of the woods.

For this weeks Scrap Whispers challenge we were to create a layout or card using mint green and brown only. Here is my take on the challenge.

For this card I pulled out my nestibilities, which thanks to my organzing they are so much easier to get a hold of.



The little flower was made from a scalloped ribbon like the one I used at the edge ... I've been hoarding this ribbon for quite a long time! Feels good to use some of my old stash.

Smurfs Challenge

This week we were to create a layout or a card inspired in some way by the Smurfs cartoon! I was never a Smurf fan but I did come up with this cute smurf card which I might some day use for a birthday card. Funny how this just came to mind, in spanish they are called the Pitufos... LOL

Its Friday Again

Its Friday again and Scrap Whispers is hosting its weekly challenge. For this weeks challenge we had to create a layout using forgotten treasures. Its all about that forgotten stash you have hidden in the bottom of a dark drawer. Drag out something you've had for ages and just not managed to use.

For my layout I used some old patterned paper, old buttons and a tag which I've had since I began scrapbooking.

Its Friday again and Scrap Whispers is hosting its Friday challenge. This weeks challenge is to create a layout or card using fabric or material. I used my favorite pink gingham fabric to create this card.

Scrap Whispers weekly challenge

For yesterday's weekly challenge at Scrap Whispers we had to create a layout using office supplies. I used some sticky corner page holder,paper clips and a small metal clip.


This picture was taken on Easter Sunday 2002, we were also celebrating my niece Sabrina's 10th birthday.


And since I challenged myself to create 3 layouts a week I was short one but instead I made this layout of Jose my dd's boyfriend who calls himself Jose the best but with these glasses he looks more like a nerd!

Scrap Whispers Wkly Challenge

Its Friday already which means Scrap Whispers weekly challenge. For this challenge we had to make a monthly or annual 'summary' page, with a selection of pics from that month or year. Or a selection of first-day school photos for each of your kids, houses you've lived in, pets you've owned, etc.
My layout is about my dd Amber's Father/Daughter dance. This was the last year she and her Dad will be attending this event because she is now in Middle School.
